Al leer esta noticia, no se vosotros pero el corazón a tenido un pequeño “parón”. El Surf es una GRAN familia, se nos ha ido uno de los grandes. Siempre quedarán en nuestro recuerdo esos grandes momentos, grandes finales y maniobras espectaculares.

Buff que bajón. Es una gran pérdida para la Sociedad del Surf. Lo peor de todo es que tenía mucha vida por delante para conseguir grandes cosas y la ha perdido por algo tan inesperado como el Dengue. Son pocas las noticias que aún están al tanto de lo ocurrido. Me imagino que mañana mismo habrá cientos de noticias relacionadas con la muerte de Andy Irons y en las portadas de muchas revistas saldrá la noticia o su imagen en portada.
Un amigo que conoce a su manager me informa que además esperaba ser padre dentro de poco con su mujer Lyndie Dupuis, con 32 años. No podemos saber más ya que no puedo ni hablar del dolor de este momento. A uno le dan ganas de patalear y decir JO…. mie… ¿por qué? Tenía como mínimo media vida por delante. Cuando ocurren cosas como estas uno se da cuenta que hay que aprovechar cada momento y disfrutar de la vida. Una pena de noticia.
He recogido un artículo en donde se anunciaba el fallecimiento. La revista Surfer ha sido la primera en dar la noticia seguida de su blog

Esta triste noticia ha hecho su camino en las oficinas Surfer, esta tarde se ha confirmado que el tres veces campeón del mundo Andy Irons ha fallecido.
Así es. Todo empezó cuando no se presentó a su manga del Rip Curl Pro Search que se celebra estos días en Puerto Rico. Parece ser que creyeron que era una simple fiebre. Pasados unos días, y de vuelta a su casa de Hawaii, Andy Irons ha fallecido hoy en una habitación de hotel en Dallas, Texas. Tenía 32 años. Fuentes cercanas a la familia afirman que la muerte se ha debido al Dengue que supuestamente contrajo en Puerto Rico, aunque esto aun está por confirmar.
Andy Irons descansa en Paz
Seguro que todos los surfistas de Valencia estarán apenados por esta triste noticia.
Andy fuistes grande y seguirás siéndolo!!!
