Adults in power: It’s never too late to learn Spanish

There is no age to start learning a foreign language. It’s never late. It’s just a matter of will and desire: eagerness to learn, to travel, to gain new experiences… That’s what the German journalist Susanne Wess did, who at the age of 45 and due to her passion to grab first-hand experience of learning Spanish packed her suitcase, got an airplane and came to the city of Valencia.
Susanne Wess works for the German newspaper Reisefieber, a newspaper about the world of travel. They proposed her to write an article: “why don’t you travel to learn Spanish, and then narrate your experience to our readers?” addressing adult readers, who when thinking of travelling perhaps discard the aspect of learning a foreign language, believing that they will be the oldest in class and will feel uncomfortable with their peers.
Susanne contacted FEDELE CV, chose Valencia as a city destination and Taronja Spanish School so as to go back to studies. Her first day of school, despite being an experienced woman in the workfield, she was nervous. Almost like every teen student. But that anxiety vanished soon. What characterizes our Spanish School is the proximity, the naturalness and our commitment to make every student feel like home.
Susanne soon felt less anxious. To her surprise, she teamed up with her classmates where there also were students of the same age. She laughed, studied, learned and participated in all activities: language exchanges, cooking classes, tapas tours, dinners, excursions…
She enjoyed the city of Valencia, the monuments, the beaches, the local cuisine and of course the commercial stores. Who said that there is an age limit in order to study? Susanne lived a more than satisfactory experience, and that way she transmitted it to her readers. She returned home wanting more, and she confirmed that she would repeat a trip like this, where learning, culture and leisure were perfectly combined during her stay in Valencia.
Taronja Spanish School encourages all of you who think that are too old to learn to come and try one of our Spanish courses. Adults in power!
