A cultural and festive summer in Valencia
Summer plans in the city are endless. This year the July Festival returns to an old name to reach all neighbourhoods of Valencia with music, games, fireworks and festivals.
Summer months are high season for the Spanish Federation of Schools of Spanish as a Foreign Language schools in Valencia. There is a continuous coming and going of students from all over the world that take advantage of their stay to learn Spanish intensively and to enjoy all the attractions of the city offers in those months. Intereuropa Idiomas is located in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, heart of Valencia, great zone to carry out activities with our students. In summer, even more, we offer excellent extracurricular activities like these.
The traditional July Festival returns to its original name, “la Gran Fira de València”, which was the original name in 1871 , to renew its image and bring together multiple cultural offerings and become a major festival. In this 2016 edition there are scheduled concerts at Viveros Park, the Flower’s Battle, which this year celebrates its 125th anniversary, the Pyrotechnic Festival, every Saturday of the month and final one on the 29th of July, the Moors and Christians parade, the Jazz Festival at the Palau de la Música and the international contest of bands “Ciudad de Valencia”.
Alongside these activities many others are scheduled, up to 250 to be held throughout the month in 85 different places, all over the city. Have a look at the full program because there are events every day.
As a new event, there will be a night route through the municipal cemetery, cinema sessions, karaoke, a card tournament “La Fallera Calavera”, bell concerts, the team competition “Trivialencia” and “Correfira”, a van-stage that will visit all neighbourhoods of Valencia as Poblats Marítims, Cabanyal-Canyamelar, Malvarrosa, Ayora, Patraix, Carmen, Malilla and Campanar; and districts as Massarrojos, Benifaraig, Benimàmet, Castellar and Carpesa, so that the party reaches all points with performances of music, theatre, magic and storytelling.
Besides cinema “a la fresca” in different parts of the city, the centre and the Malvarrosa beach, the summer cinema sessions in the “Jardines del Palau” (from 29th of July to 27th of August) and during all of July the Berklee College shares his best music in the outside of its campus in Valencia, in the lake of City of Arts and Sciences. One of the favourite event for our students for the good international environment that you can feel there. An outdoor concert, there is no better way to end the week. Also in a nice environment like the Botanical Garden you can attend concerts for small and very nice audience.
Boredom and summer in Valencia are words that do not rhyme, do they?
